So here is a MEGA way to start your day! I can’t say it enough, but without putting protein in your body in the morning, you’ll never get started properly. Forget about breads, cereals and all that jazz. It’s all about protein & fats to start the day. Good quality protein too. Bacon doesn’t count!
Chia seeds are seriously awesome. They are packed full of omega 3 essential fatty acids, plant protein AND calcium (for strong bones & healthy blood) and magnesium (anti-stress mineral). So a portion of this will energise you, promote calm & give you focus for your busy day ahead. I sometimes have a smaller portion for a healthy snack!
If you’re vegan, just omit the bee pollen!
1/2 cup Chia seeds
1 cup Coconut milk
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Figs, chopped
Handful Strawberries, chopped
1 tbsp Pumpkin Seeds
1 tbsp Bee Pollen
Handful Almonds (optional)
1. Add chia seeds, vanilla extract and coconut milk to a jar & soak overnight
(you can add more water if you prefer it more liquid)
2. Add to a bowl with remaining ingredients & serve! Easy as that!
You can alternative the toppings with blueberries, banana, sliced apple, shredded coconut, pecans, honey, Maca powder or anything else that takes your fancy.
Revitalise Tip: For an autumn spice porridge use grated carrot, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg & raisins!
