Break The Fast!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We are hear this all of our lives, but I don’t think we quite realise how truly important it really is!

This simple healthy recipe for your morning smoothie will take minutes to make and you’ll devour it in minutes. I sometimes finish eating mine and want to make it all over again it tastes so good, except that it does fill you up. A common misconception is that if we do not have bread in the morning we will not be full up. The fact is, bread is loaded with hidden sugar that just gets you on the sugar roller coaster earlier than you intended!

When I started having breakfast smoothies, my health dramatically improved. I had increased energy, more mental clarity and less sugar cravings. What more  could you want from your breakfast?! There are so many varieties to smoothies, but this is a good old classic, with one of my favourite ingredients, avocado.

 

Ingredients

Handful spinach leaves
1/2 a large avocado
Handful soaked almonds
1 Tbsp Raw Cacao Powder
1 Tbsp Flaxseed
1 Tsp Udo’s Oil

Method

  1. Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth
  2. Serve topped with nuts and goji berries
