This is one of my all time favourite smoothie recipes!!! It is so creamy & really fills you up. Starting the day with your healthy dose of fat from the avocado is far better energy than eating refined carbs such as breads & cereals. Consistently eating protein with fat in the morning will give you sustained energy throughout the day. Carbs spike your blood sugar levels which means you’re craving sweet stuff earlier in the day. The good carbs are best left to eat after a workout so your muscles can grow.
The Ro smoothie also has three of my favourite ingredients… Raw Cacao, Avocado & Medjool dates!
It just has to be tried!
Ingredients
1?2 Banana
1?2 Avocado
2 Medjool Dates, pitted
1 tbsp Raw Cacao Powder
1?2 Tsp Maca Powder
1?2 tsp Coconut Oil (optional)
Cup of Water
Method
Blend all ingredients until smooth.
Tip: Don’t substitute Medjool dates for a cheaper alternative, they don’t have the same sweetness or texture! It won’t be the same. Sometimes ingredients are more expensive for a reason!
